Breathe For Change is seeking an Educator Development Counselor

This is a fully remote, full-time role.

Position Title: Educator Development Counselor

Location: Remote (U.S. Based Required)

As the Educator Development Counselor, you will play a critical role in supporting

prospective students through the admissions journey for Breathe For Change’s

degree programs, certifications, and teacher trainings. This role is responsible for

guiding educators through thoughtful, informed admissions decisions by providing

clear information, personalized support, and timely follow-up. You will serve as a

trusted advisor to educators while contributing directly to admissions and revenue

goals. This role sits at the intersection of enrollment, advising, and

relationship-building, with a strong emphasis on alignment, integrity, and student

success.

Core Responsibilities

● Lead Admissions Conversations

○ Conduct 1:1 admissions calls with prospective students to assess fit,

answer questions, and guide next steps.

○ Clearly communicate program structure, expectations, timelines, and

outcomes.

○ Support prospective students in understanding financing options,

employer reimbursement, and return on investment.

○ Help candidates navigate common concerns related to time

commitment, workload, and readiness.

● Personalized Follow-Up & Relationship Management

○ Develop and execute personalized follow-up strategies tailored to each

prospective student’s goals, timeline, and barriers.

○ Maintain consistent, thoughtful communication via phone, email, and

text to support decision-making.

○ Re-engage prospective students who have gone quiet or delayed

decisions, using context from prior 1-1 conversations.

○ Ensure every prospective student feels seen, supported, and informed

throughout the enrollment process.

● Manage and Convert the Admissions Pipeline

○ Own a portfolio of prospective students from initial inquiry through

enrollment.

○ Maintain accurate, timely records in CRM systems, including notes,

follow-up tasks, and status updates.

○ Track application progress and proactively address incomplete steps or

stalled momentum.

○ Manage enrollment timelines and deadlines to support timely decisions

and cohort readiness.

● Collaborate Across Teams

○ Partner closely with marketing and student support teams to ensure

alignment across messaging and enrollment processes.

○ Share qualitative insights from enrollment conversations to inform

marketing campaigns, program positioning, and enrollment strategy.

○ Participate in enrollment events, info sessions, and campaign-based

initiatives as needed.

● Contribute to Enrollment Performance & Improvement

○ Consistently meet or exceed individual enrollment goals.

○ Monitor conversion trends and identify patterns that impact enrollment

outcomes.

○ Contribute ideas to improve enrollment workflows, communication

sequences, and prospective student experience.

○ Support continuous improvement of enrollment systems, tools, and

processes.

Candidate Qualifications

● Experience: 2+ years in recruiting, admissions, advising, or consultative sales;

experience in higher education, educator-facing programs, or mission-driven

organizations strongly preferred.

● Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with

the ability to explain complex information clearly and compassionately.

● Relationship-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to build trust, ask thoughtful

questions, and guide decisions without pressure or urgency-driven tactics.

● Organization & Follow-Through: Highly organized with strong time

management skills; able to manage multiple prospective students

simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of follow-up.

● Systems Fluency: Comfort working in CRMs and enrollment systems;

experience with HubSpot or similar platforms is a plus.

● Mission Alignment: Strong alignment with Breathe For Change’s mission to

empower educators through personal growth, professional advancement, and

human-centered education.

Management

● Position reports to the Director of Educator Development and collaborates with

the VP Growth, as well as other growth team members.

Compensation

● The on-target compensation includes a competitive base salary, profit share,

and eligibility for equity. Compensation will depend on the candidate's level of

experience and qualifications.
