Position Overview:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods, products, and/or food from the warehouse space or vendor to the school. They play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery while providing excellent customer service. This job is typically 10-15 hours a week, with a 2 hour minimum shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate personal vehicle safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
  • Adhere to safety standards and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Pick up goods from the warehouse or vendor and follow the hotsheet (route) for delivery.
  • Deliver school lunches or products in a timely manner.
  • Use Google Maps or maps to navigate unfamiliar routes and avoid delays.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries, including greeting customers and answering any questions they may have.
  • Handle deliveries with care and attention to detail to ensure the integrity of the goods.
  • Report any delivery issues or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor or manager.

        Qualifications:

        • Previous experience in customer service, food service, hospitality or related fields is preferred.
        • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
        • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people, including students, faculty, and staff
        • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
        • Ability to work well with school staff, students, and other team members.
        • Flexibility to work morning and afternoon hours, as scheduling will depend on each individual school’s needs. Most positions will be part-time (10-15 hours per week)
        • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for meal deliveries
        • Listed as an insured party for your vehicle
        • Clean driving record

        • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
        • ServSafe certification is preferred but not mandatory; can be obtained once employed
        • Flexibility in working hours, as the schedule may vary based on business needs.

            Compensation:

            • $20 per hour
            • Data stipend
            • Mileage reimbursement
