As a research scientist in machine learning at TeachFX, you'll be a key leader of our company as we scale. You’ll build the systems and technology that will support our growth, drive our research strategy and will take ownership of projects from inception to completion. We are a deeply mission-driven company, working hard to develop tech that revolutionizes teacher professional learning -- and we’re looking for researchers who want to use their skills to power our mission.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in machine learning

  • Design and prototype new algorithms, enhancing the platform’s ability to interpret and evaluate classroom interactions.

  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to integrate your research findings into the TeachFX platform.

  • Analyze classroom data, deriving insights that inform product development and pedagogical strategies.

  • Maintain an active presence in the academic community, collaborating with researchers from academic institutions and representing TeachFX at conferences.

  • Work closely with our team of educators to ensure the scientific advancements align with on-ground teaching needs.

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning, particularly as they pertain to education.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Speech / Audio Processing or equivalent field

  • Strong foundation in machine learning, with a focus on real-world applications of ASR or other speech tasks

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, as evidenced by published papers in recognized journals or conferences.

  • Expertise in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Collaborative spirit, with the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
