Full job description
If you see a chaotic kitchen and immediately start building a plan, you should become a Rosie Family Manager!
Meaningful work that fits your life. That's what being a Rosie Family Manager is about.
You work with a few families on the same days every week, building real relationships where you see the direct impact of your work. You're not just completing tasks — you're anticipating what families need, learning their rhythms, and becoming someone they trust. And you do it on your own schedule.
You get flexible hours, real pay, and the rare kind of work where you can actually see what you accomplished by the end of the day.
We have multiple openings across North Seattle and the surrounding communities — ranging from morning household resets to combined childcare and meal prep shifts. Several positions available to start immediately or in September as families settle back into school schedules.
About Rosie
Rosie is a Seattle-based service that matches vetted helpers with local families who need support with childcare, household management, and daily tasks. We're building something special in the care space — and we want motivated, smart, dependable people on our team of Rosie Pros.
The Role
Family Manager was built for people who want to make a real difference in a family's life. You work with a few families on the same days every week, and you can shape how their week actually functions. Over time, you become someone they know, someone they trust, and someone who genuinely changes their week.
You'll learn each family's rhythms, notice what helps most, and take initiative on the details that matter. Whether it's the breakfast tornado, meal prep, household systems, or simply being ready for whatever the week brings, you're the person families look forward to seeing.
What You'll Do
- You'll work with the same family week over week, learning their rhythms and anticipating what's needed before they do.
- You can take ownership of the family calendar: school, activities, appointments, deadlines.
- You'll manage household logistics, groceries, supplies, returns, and shipments.
- You can coordinate meal prepping and stay on top of errands.
- You'll handle school and camp registrations along with the paperwork that comes with them.
- You'll provide childcare as part of the role, including pickups and dropoffs, and you'll plan and prep meals or help manage the systems that do.
- You'll keep Rosie informed about your availability and any changes to your scheduling preferences.
Open Positions in This Region Include:
- Kenmore: Monday & Friday mornings (7am-12pm). Household reset and laundry while a parent works from home. Discuss scheduling compatibility during matching.
- Shoreline: Sunday mornings (7am-12pm). Childcare-focused role.
- Snohomish: Friday 10am-12pm. Childcare.
- Everett: Flexible morning and evening opportunities. Household reset, meal prep, and childcare support as school year gets underway. Positions still firming up with September schedule.
- Edmonds: Sunday afternoons (12-5pm). Childcare. Currently on waitlist but we're actively matching.
What We Look For
- You're organized in a way you could explain to someone else.
- You anticipate instead of react.
- You follow through, including on the boring parts.
- You keep Rosie informed about your scheduling preferences.
- You're interested in building trusted relationships with families, not just completing tasks.
- You're interested in steady, recurring work placements.
Requirements
- 2+ years in household management, nannying, executive assistance, operations, or event coordination.
- Able to comfortably walk up and down stairs, get on and off the floor, and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Comfort with shared calendars, task apps, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Legal authorization to work in the US.
- Reliable transportation to sessions (especially for positions outside Seattle city limits).
How It Works
- Get matched with a family based on schedule, scope, and fit.
- Discuss your scheduling preferences to find recurring weekly opportunities (typically 10-40 hours).
- Shadow session first, then a trial session, then matching.
- Paid per session completed on 1099 basis. Sessions range from $44-$200.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay per completed session on 1099 contract, ranging from $44-$200.
- Immediate payment for sessions worked.
- Bonus opportunities for hitting monthly milestones.
- Optional access to Rosie community events and professional development resources.
