About Rosie
Rosie is reimagining care, for families & for caregivers.
We created a new category of care: flexible, on-demand childcare and household management, bookable by the hour or in a weekly cadence, backed by a bench of vetted Pros who learn your family’s rhythms. Families finally have a way to get the help they actually need with minimal effort.
We're building the infrastructure that powers modern family life: a world where parents book care the way they text a friend, where caregivers build real careers doing work they're proud of, and where having support at home just feels normal. We're expanding to new cities, and we're just getting started.
The Role
You have the opportunity to disrupt and shape how families and caregivers operate in the new age. You’ll build the core product interfaces that families interact with every day, make the foundational calls on architecture and tooling, and set the engineering culture for the entire company. You help decide what we build, how we build it, and how fast we ship while maintaining an extremely high technical bar.
Rosie has three primary customers: families, Pros and the internal team. To run a simple two-sided labor marketplace at scale requires immense complexity behind-the-scenes. Rosie creates beautiful & simple interfaces across web, mobile apps and text message for families and Pros to interact, book and manage their care or jobs. Its the backbone of many families lives and many Pros careers, so the stakes are high. Rosie learns each customer’s rhythms from what it observes and what they tell it, and aims to make every interaction with Rosie easier and better. Behind that simplicity is a mix of agents, LLMs, and software that you’ll design, ship, and harden, always in service of a product that feels magical and earns customers’ trust.
This is a rare seat: full-stack builder, product thinker, and AI researcher in one. You’ll take features from prototype to production, balance speed with the reliability, and stay close enough to families and Pros to know exactly what to build next. You will build and lead the engineering team as Rosie scales across new cities and establish the AI infrastructure and tenets to build the most intelligent platform in care.
Our north star is a product so good that managing a home & growing a career are effortless thanks to state-of-the-art AI with a deliberate human touch. You’ll make it real.
Who You Are
A builder at heart: You thrive on taking ideas from 0 → 1, wearing many hats, and turning vision into reality.
Obsessed with growth: You set the bar unreasonably high and push far past “good enough” to deliver exceptional results.
Driven by outcomes: You’re not looking to clock out of work. You’re willing to flex, adapt, and put in the work required to build and grow Rosie.
Courageous: You run at resistance and find energy where others hear “no.” Obstacles motivate you.
Execution-first: You believe trust is earned by shipping beautiful, functional, and reliable products.
Fast-moving: You thrive in speed and ambiguity, creating clarity instead of waiting for it. You learn, adapt, and improve quickly.
Creative & daring: You challenge conventions, reimagine what’s possible, and infuse delight into the everyday.
Ruthlessly focused: You know how to cut through noise and relentlessly prioritize the one thing that truly moves the needle.
What You’ll Do
Build the core product: Own AI infrastructure and feature development end-to-end, from prototypes to production-ready systems that our customers rely on. Pay close attention to the data and the user feedback to know what to build.
Shape technical direction: Make foundational decisions on architecture, infrastructure, and tooling.
Move fast: Ship experiments, iterate on feedback, and balance speed with maintainability.
Collaborate closely: Work hand-in-hand with the founding team across product, design, and growth.
Ensure reliability: Build secure, scalable systems that families can trust with their most important needs.
Lay the foundation for scale: Establish engineering best practices, documentation, and culture. Eventually help build and lead the engineering team.
