We seek a passionate Front End Engineer to enhance our developer experience, streamline software development and release processes, and leverage AI to improve efficiency. The DevEx squad is a part of the Platform tribe responsible for growing our business by:

  • providing our product squads with the infrastructure they require
  • improving developer productivity within product squads
  • maintaining high reliability of our services
  • doing projects and handling issues that are company-wide so a single product squad can hardly address them by themselves

What you will be doing:

  • Unlock Developer Productivity: Identify and resolve pain points in code, build, test, and deployment workflows to make our engineers’ lives easier.
  • Support: Become the go-to expert for diagnosing and resolving development environment and tool issues.
  • Tool Evaluation: Test, evaluate, and investigate software development tools, and collaborate with vendors to elevate our development process.
  • Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and streamline development workflows.
  • Collaboration: Partner with other tribes and squads in Platform tribe to deliver the best tools and practices for development workflows.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop clear guidelines and conduct training sessions to help developers adopt new tools and processes.
  • Onboarding: Simplify the onboarding process with user-friendly, self-service development environments.
  • Technical Excellence: Help improve the Backend engineering experience and keep our tooling in tip top shape, including AWS running infrastructure and tools supporting our engineers.
  • Data-Driven Improvements: Make measurable improvements to our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast and reliable builds (currently around 90 deployments per day).
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Maintain and optimize our development and testing infrastructure to provide stable and efficient environments.

Must Have:

  • Strong TypeScript/JavaScript expertise
  • Experience with modern frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack etc.)
  • Experience with constructing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins and GitHub Actions preferred)
  • Understanding of frontend testing approaches (unit, integration, storybook, screenshot, e2e)
  • Experience with test automation and stability improvements
  • Experience with frontend monorepo management
  • Experience with npm package development and publishing
  • Understanding of web performance optimization
  • Experience with frontend application monitoring and debugging

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Python development experience
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with localization tooling and pipelines (crowdin)
  • Experience improving build times and CI/CD reliability
