Director of Partnerships Overview : We are seeking an experienced Director of Partnerships to join our Polygence team to own, build, and grow this important channel. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of delivering results through partnerships (strategic partnerships, channel partnerships, or both). This person will be responsible for developing the partnerships strategy (both expanding existing partners and acquiring new ones), owning the revenue growth for the partnerships channel, and managing the partnerships team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive partnerships acquisition and retention strategy for Polygence and drive growth in this channel.

  • Iterate on experiments and learnings from the past to unlock new growth opportunities within partnerships.

  • Conduct thorough market research to understand the scope, segmentation, and relative importance of potential Polygence partners.

  • Analyze and understand partner retention trends and make data-informed optimizations of ongoing partner relations management.

  • Manage our team of partnerships managers to ensure they are contributing to top-line revenue growth and student enrollment targets

  • Collaborate with our product team to ensure that the partner onboarding and on-platform experience is optimized for repeat engagement and ease of student referrals.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that new products are integrated into the partnerships sales motion in the most efficient and revenue contributing way.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in partnerships sales, B2B sales, and apply learnings to Polygence.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a revenue-facing, revenue-owning partnerships role (e.g., strategic partnerships or channel partnerships)

  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth through unlocking partnerships, with an emphasis on early-stage channel development rather than mature-stage channel optimization

  • Results-driven, customer-centric, and analytical approach to building partnerships, and the ability to develop a comprehensive strategy that expands Polygence’s reach beyond its current audience

  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills, including empathy and customer advocacy

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Knowledge of and experience with education, education technology, and academia is a plus
