Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and psychosocial evaluations
- Evaluate patient outcomes in collaboration with attending physicians and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Monitor and interpret laboratory, radiographic, and procedural data to support patient disposition decisions
- Communicate assessment findings, diagnostic results, and treatment updates effectively to physicians, multidisciplinary team members, patients, and family members
- Promote collaboration and open communication among healthcare team members, colleagues, and partner organizations
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, side-effect management, and anticipatory guidance
- Participate in and support clinical research protocols by interviewing patients, reviewing eligibility criteria, and identifying potential candidates for studies
- Participate in the education and mentoring of advanced practice nursing students, house officers, and medical students
Compensation
- Salary range: Min-$115,500 - Midpoint - $146,500 - Maximum - $176,500 based on a 40 hour work week

Shift & Schedule
- Inpatient daytime role covering 6:30am-5:00pm
- Working 7on-7off shift (Tuesday-Mondays)
- Nocturnal shifts will also be supported by the hospitalist advanced practice providers for after-hours and weekend coverage, rotating holidays and COVID coverage
Requirements
- Master's Degree Nursing or Doctorate Nursing Practice
- Degree may be waived for applicants who obtained recognition as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse from the Texas State Board of Nursing prior to 1/1/2003
- Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population
