Saint Peter's University Hospital is seeking a per diem Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join its expanding midwifery practices in New Brunswick and Lakewood, NJ. Responsibilities

• Care for intrapartum patients at the free-standing Mary V. O'Shea Birth Center and/or Labor and Delivery
• Manage care and provide direct client services for private birth center patients and a panel of midwifery patients at the Family Health Center
• Actively engage in the hospital for triage and coverage of labor and delivery as needed
• Provide education and expertise regarding meaningful positioning and physiologic birth
• Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with colleagues, including attendings and residents

Compensation

• Salary Range: $80 - $80
• Competitive base rates determined by job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data
• Eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials
• Salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status

Shift & Schedule

• Flexible, entailing a combination of day/night/weekend/holiday call and office hours
• All shifts are in-house and include a 24-hour call

Requirements

• Graduation from a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
• Master's or doctoral degree
• Current active certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board or actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first certification for which they are eligible
• Current active licensure to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife in the nurse midwife category as per the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certified
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
