Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC), in partnership with the University of Vermont Health, is seeking an experienced and skilled Certified Nurse Midwife to join their team in a full-time capacity. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive midwifery services, including office-based antepartum and gynecologic care, intrapartum care, and surgical first assist for cesarean births. This role offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative care model with supportive OB/GYN backup and easy access to MFM consultation.
Practice Info
- Collaborative group including four full-time midwives (with three additional per diem) and five physicians
- Attending approximately 250 births per year
- CNMs are first call and provide 24/7 midwifery coverage
- Collaborative care model includes supportive OB/GYN backup and easy access to MFM consultation
- Support staff includes a team of experienced RNs, a licensed clinical mental health counselor, and a registered dietitian
Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope midwifery services
- Perform office-based antepartum and gynecologic care
- Conduct triage
- Provide intrapartum care
- Deliver postpartum care
- Act as surgical first assist for cesarean births
- Provide 24/7 midwifery coverage
Compensation
- Salary Range: Min $68.48 Mid $81.18 Max $93.87

Requirements
- Three or more years of full-time full-scope midwifery experience (minimum of two years required)
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing
- Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- Active or pending RN and APRN licenses in the State of Vermont
- Current NRP and BLS certifications
