The Role
The Manager, Inventory and Warehousing oversees global inventory once it departs suppliers and ensures seamless movement through Lovevery’s warehouse network. This role manages inventory accuracy, inbound deliveries, wholesale allocation, and performance across eight 3PL facilities worldwide. It requires strong experience in inventory management and global warehousing, with a focus on on-time fulfillment, efficient operations, and proactive backorder management.
Attributes required for success in the role
- Inventory Discipline – You have experience managing inventory across multiple geographies, ensuring accuracy in ERP and WMS systems, and proactively identifying risks of stockouts or overages.
- Warehousing and 3PL Management – You are a hands-on operator who has managed third-party logistics partners before, understands warehouse KPIs, and can enforce SLAs while driving global process improvements.
- Communication – You serve as the daily point of contact across eight warehouses and are skilled at structured, complete communication between internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Monitor and manage global inventory accuracy across ERP, WMS, and planning tools.
- Lead backorder management and partner with our Customer Experience Team to set accurate customer expectations.
- Approve wholesale order timing and allocations based on available stock.
- Drive cross-functional communication during low-stock or delayed inventory situations.
Warehousing and 3PL Management
- Manage on-time ocean delivery to all warehouses and facilities.
- Oversee eight global warehouses to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Serve as the daily point of contact for 3PLs, escalating and resolving operational issues.
- Set and track against KPIs for warehouse partners, ensuring service levels and customer-first mentality.
- Improve SOPs to standardize warehouse processes globally.
Qualifications and attributes
- 4+ years’ experience in inventory management on a global scale.
- 3+ years’ experience in warehouse operations or 3PL management.
- Experience managing wholesale fulfillment and allocation decisions.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Proven ability to track and improve KPIs for fulfillment, labor, and cost.
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple warehouses and regions.
- Excellent communication skills with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Willingness to travel internationally 2–4 times per year.
