Kaymbu is seeking an inspired, self-driven Director of User Experience & Design interested in joining a thriving, fast-paced startup that is committed to helping teachers and families connect in a meaningful way with one another. The person who takes on this role will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of user experience (UX) and design within the organization and will focus on creating exceptional user-centric experiences across various digital platforms and ensuring the organization's design strategy aligns with its overall business objectives. The Director of User Experience & Design will collaborate closely with the engineering and business teams to drive innovation, elevate the user experience, and deliver high-quality designs that exceed user expectations.

Desired Skills

• Proficient in using design tools, including Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Ability to design across screens, including but not limited to web and mobile devices
• Ability to collaborate and communicate well across functions and departments to fully scope and solve problems
• Strong attention to detail and visual design polish
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take ideas from concepts all the way to high-fidelity, interactive designs
• Front-end HTML/CSS capabilities are desirable but not required

Qualifications

• A strong digital portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects is essential
• 3+ years of UX and design experience
• Proven experience in an agile development environment
