🚀 About Us

Innovamat is an educational organization specializing in mathematics education. Founded in Barcelona in 2017, Innovamat provides schools with a complete, research-based math program covering Early Childhood through Secondary Education, grounded in research across mathematics education, cognition, and neuroscience.

Our program integrates curriculum, teacher training, assessment, and intervention into a single coherent system. Today, Innovamat is present in 9 countries, partnering with 31,000+ teachers across 3,300+ schools and reaching more than 720,000 students. We are one of the few organizations in the sector with independently validated efficacy data from external research institutions, and the first non-American organization to pass the California State Board of Education adoption process for a core math curriculum.

🎯 Your Mission

You will join our Operations team as its software engineering backbone. Our business systems (CRM, marketing automation, data warehouse, classroom platform, billing and logistics) are a large distributed ecosystem. Until now we have run them with hybrid profiles that combine business understanding with hands-on building. As we scale across markets, we need someone who brings real software engineering discipline to Operations: clean architecture, testing, observability, reliability and maintainability.

You will design, build and own the integrations, automations and internal tools that Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Finance rely on every day and make them as robust as possible.

🏁 Your Day To Day

  • Building and owning integrations between our core systems (Salesforce, Iterable, the Classroom Manager platform, Jira, the data warehouse, billing and others), with proper error handling, retries, idempotency and monitoring.

  • Developing on the CRM platform (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows) and replacing no-code spaghetti with maintainable, tested code where it makes sense.

  • Designing data pipelines and syncs that keep our systems consistent at scale, and diagnosing why they drift (data quality, API limits, payload edge cases).

  • Creating internal tools and services that automate manual processes for Revenue and Operations teams, from small scripts to full applications.

  • Work with engineering standards: version control, code review, CI/CD, environments, documentation and incident post-mortems.

  • Taking part in incident resolution across the Operations ecosystem. You will find the root cause and then fix the structural problem so it doesn't come back.

  • Evaluating build vs. buy vs. configure with sound technical judgment, and being honest about trade-offs and cost.

  • Working closely with Engineering and Data so Operations systems and the product platform evolve coherently.

  • Using AI agents and automation to speed up your own development and to design AI-assisted workflows for the business.

  • Mentoring colleagues with hybrid or less technical profiles, raising the technical bar of the team.

🔍 What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a software developer (backend or full-stack), with solid fundamentals: data structures, APIs, testing, version control and debugging complex systems.

  • Strong command of at least one general-purpose language (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java/Apex or PHP) and willingness to learn others quickly.

  • Experience designing and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks and asynchronous processes, and handling their failure modes.

  • Good SQL skills and comfort working with data models and analytical data (warehouse, ETL/ELT).

  • Experience integrating third-party SaaS platforms (CRM, marketing automation, billing, ERP) is a big plus.

  • Technical judgment: you understand trade-offs, write code that others can maintain, and know when not to build something.

  • Interest in the business side of what you build. You want to understand how Sales, Marketing and Customer Success work, so you solve their real problem and not just the ticket.

  • Early-adopter mindset with AI coding agents and automation tools.

  • High autonomy and ownership. You can take a vague operational pain point and turn it into a reliable solution.

  • Fluent English and conversational Spanish.

You'll stand out if you have:

  • Experience with Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, SOQL, deployments) or another enterprise CRM.

  • Experience with iPaaS/automation tools (Make, Zapier, n8n) and knowing their limits.

  • Experience with Databricks, dbt, Metabase or a similar data stack.

  • Background in marketing automation (Iterable, HubSpot, Braze…) and email/data deliverability.

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and infrastructure as code.

  • Previous experience in a B2B or edtech company.

A degree in Computer Science or a related field is welcome, but we value demonstrated ability above all.

💻 What You'll Work With

Salesforce, Iterable, Make, Databricks/dbt, Metabase, Jira and our own Classroom Manager APIs, alongside the web, mobile and data platforms built by the Engineering teams. You don't need to know all of it. We expect you to learn fast and bring strong engineering fundamentals.
