Senior Account Executive, Texas

Location: Full time, remote, TX
Curipod was founded on the belief that every student can be curious and intrinsically motivated to be in the classroom. We make writing practice students love — teacher-led practice, aligned to the curriculum districts already teach, where students read, write, discuss, get feedback, and revise, all in the same class period.
We have a strong point of view on what makes powerful learning experiences: students reading, writing, and talking together, with specific, timely feedback and the chance to try again. It's how writers grow, and it's backed by the research (the Science of Writing + Hattie) on what feedback and revision actually do.
Today there are more than 1 million teachers using Curipod, and over 1.5 million students engaged with Curipod every month across 125 countries. Curipod is backed by Reach Capital and growing rapidly.
Texas is our biggest, fastest-growing market. As Bluebonnet Learning rolls out across the state, districts are looking for the writing layer that works alongside their HQIM — and Curipod is becoming that layer. Curipod’s writing suite is now aligned to Texas RLA curriculum (Bluebonnet, HMH, and Savvas). We are hiring a Senior AE to own this opportunity end-to-end.
If you've sold curriculum into Texas districts, if you know your way around a curriculum director's office, we'd love to talk.

What you’ll own:

Pipeline and quota for a Texas territory. You'll have inbound flow from our PLG motion, but you will drive strategic deals and larger opportunities.
Full-cycle, school and district. Discovery, multi-threading across curriculum / tech / finance, negotiation, close. The smaller deals can close in a single call. The bigger ones take 3+ stakeholders and 2-3 months — you should be comfortable running both.
Travel in Texas. We travel to district offices, ESC events, TCEA/TASA/TESPA. Expect 50-70% travel during the busy seasons.
Bluebonnet and HQIM-aligned selling. You'll get deep on how districts adopt Bluebonnet Learning and how Curipod fits alongside it. You don't need to know this on day one — you do need to be the kind of person who wants to learn it inside and out!
Field customer insights back to the team. What you hear in the field shapes will shape our GTM.
A clean pipeline. Attio is our CRM. We move fast, we use AI (Claude, Attio AI) to operate at higher leverage than a traditional AE org.
The playbook itself. This is still an early-stage GTM motion. You will help shape how we bring Curipod to market in Texas.

You are a great fit if:

You are based in Texas. (Required)
Have 2-3+ years of edtech sales experience hitting or exceeding quotas. (Required)
You are willing and excited to travel (50-70% of the time, depending on season) within Texas, with occasional travel outside Texas. (Required)
You are excited to work in a fast-paced startup, and are adaptable, curious, and results-driven. (Required)
You are AI native in your workflow - you use it daily to research accounts, prep meetings, and operate at higher leverage. (Required)
You have experience working as a teacher or in a K-12 institution in Texas and are familiar with Texas K12 (TEKS, STAAR, TX curriculums, etc). (Preferred)
You have been a 0-1 or founding sales team member. (Preferred)

You will get a unique chance to:

Own and grow our biggest and fastest growing market with clear PMF (teachers & admin LOVE Curipod)
Work with a small team of curious, ambitious people who genuinely like working together
Work in a collaborative team environment and co-operate closely with other sales team members, as well as members of our customer success and product teams.
See how the work you do puts a smile on the face of kids, teachers, and learners all around the world. It doesn’t get better than that! :)
