About the team

On the Student Accounts Team, our goal is to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial processing for students transitioning from active to inactive status. This team is composed of detail-oriented professionals who manage student accounts, calculate tuition adjustments, and support students through the financial aspects of withdrawal.

About the role

We are seeking a Student Accounts Team Lead to manage key financial operations related to inactive student accounts. This role requires a strong understanding of student account processing, compliance regulations (including Return to Title IV), and leadership skills to support a high-functioning team.

  • Provide guidance, training, and day-to-day support to team members handling inactive student accounts.

  • Monitor processes for accuracy, timeliness, and productivity, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist with complex or escalated student inquiries, account disputes, or process exceptions.
    Support operational workflows during periods of high volume or staff absences.

  • Review, document, and continuously improve procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.

  • Have experience in student account management, financial aid, or higher education financial operations.

  • Are well-versed in R2T4 calculations and federal/institutional policies.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Excel at process improvement and documentation.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Required:

  • Experience managing student financial accounts, including R2T4 and proration processes

  • Strong knowledge of federal Title IV regulations

  • Leadership experience in a team-oriented setting

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., CampusVue, Banner, or similar)

  • Experience with third-party collections processes

A compensation package that includes a base salary ($65,000 - $75,000) + equity grant

  • Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary will be localized.
