Job Overview

Assist the Life Enrichment Director in planning and leading diverse activity programs tailored to meet residents' social, physical, mental, emotional, and sensory needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, promotion, and facilitation of individual and group activities.
• Assess residents' recreational and social needs to inform programming.
• Assist in creating the monthly Activity Calendar of Events.
• Lead various activity sessions, including small, large, and one-on-one interactions with seniors.
• Research and recommend entertainment, educational speakers, or community representatives.
• Coordinate transportation for outings, including driving the company bus when assigned.
• Collaborate with volunteers, assigning tasks to enhance resident engagement.
• Maintain cleanliness and report maintenance for transportation vehicles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• At least 1 year of activities experience in senior living or care facilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to obtain a Class C license within 90 days if necessary.
• Proficiency in basic Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
• Creative in planning engaging activities and strong group leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make responsible decisions and maintain confidentiality.
• Good organizational skills, work ethic, and communication abilities.
  
  

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Frequent standing, sitting, bending, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
• Use of hands and arms for activities and interactions.
• Clear speech, good vision, and hearing for communication and safety.
• Indoor climate-controlled work environment with occasional outdoor activities in seasonal weather.
  
  

Work Conditions

• Typically Monday to Friday, with every other weekend and occasional evenings.
• Schedule may vary based on programming needs.
