Role Overview: The Analyst I prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard techniques and EPA methodologies, ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine lab tasks such as sample preparation, chemical analysis, data calculation, and recording results.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments including gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, and ICP systems.
  • Adhere to environmental, health, safety, and quality standards, following GMP/GLP practices.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and safety in the work area.
  • Work under supervision, following written and verbal instructions, with potential to learn complex instrumentation and techniques.
  • Support team collaboration, problem-solving, and time management to meet quality and operational goals.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Laboratory experience preferred; production experience is helpful.
  • Strong reading, writing, speaking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following protocols in various analytical disciplines.
  • Proficiency in mathematics and data analysis.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction and fluency in English.

Additional Details: The role is full-time, with training on a Monday-Friday schedule, transitioning to a Wednesday-Sunday shift. Compensation is up to $20/hour, with comprehensive benefits.
