Role Overview: The Outpatient Pharmacist provides safe and efficient medication dispensing, patient consultation, immunizations, and medication therapy management in a retail pharmacy setting.
Key Responsibilities: Dispense medications accurately, ensure compliance with best practices, communicate with patients and prescribers, supervise technical staff, and maintain pharmacy operations.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (PharmD preferred), state pharmacist registration, immunization certification or willingness to obtain, strong customer service and multitasking skills, and 2+ years of pharmacy experience preferred. Experience with 340B programs and vendor credentialing is a plus.
Work Environment & Expectations: Work involves applying technical knowledge to moderate projects, resolving technical issues, and working under general guidance. The role demands professionalism, sound judgment, and adherence to compliance standards.
