Physical Therapist Role Overview
The Physical Therapist performs objective assessments and develops comprehensive, individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of Therapy Leadership.
They provide direct supervision to patients, oversee rehabilitation technicians, and supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
Qualifications include a Bachelor, Master of Science, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, current or temporary state licensure, and current BLS certification. Preferred experience includes six months to one year in rehabilitation, especially with adult and geriatric populations.
Key physical requirements involve lifting up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing, walking, and performing various movements such as gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
