Role Overview: Provides comprehensive nutritional care to patients and residents with special needs or nutritional risk, ensuring assessment, intervention, education, and documentation align with standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts initial and ongoing nutritional assessments, determining patient risk and response to care plans.
  • Develops and implements personalized nutrition care plans, monitoring nutritional intake and outcomes.
  • Prioritizes patient care, assigns tasks within team, and administers medical nutrition therapy safely and accurately.
  • Acts as a resource for healthcare team members, patients, families, and students, offering education and guidance.
  • Supervises data collection, evaluates patient stability, and performs other relevant duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred for those eligible after specified date.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required within six months of residency completion.
  • Experience as a Clinical Dietitian and completion of dietetic internship preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and educational skills essential.
