Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient registration, verify insurance, and process co-pays.
- Assist with patient interviews, record medical history, and measure vital signs.
- Collect blood samples, prepare specimens, and perform point-of-care testing.
- Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain medical records and charts.
- Coordinate referrals, answer patient questions, and follow up with patients.
- Perform opening/closing duties, manage equipment calibration, and ensure clinic cleanliness.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as answering calls, scheduling, and maintaining reception areas.
- High School Diploma required; Medical Assisting or related certification preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant or in front desk roles is advantageous.
- Current BLS certification; additional certifications (CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA) or related healthcare experience acceptable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, strong communication, detail orientation, and cultural sensitivity.
