Role Summary

Provides comprehensive clinical assessment and treatment to patients at a healthcare center, utilizing individual, family, and group therapy to address diverse patient needs. Works effectively with individuals of all cultures and ages, collaborating within an integrated health team and contributing to program development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts initial diagnostic interviews, mental status exams, and diagnoses, making appropriate treatment and referral recommendations.
  • Develops and updates individualized treatment plans to ensure optimal outpatient care.
  • Provides therapy services, including individual, group, and family therapy, either in person or via telehealth, along with crisis intervention as needed.
  • Completes documentation and billing adhering to regulatory standards and maintains a caseload meeting productivity expectations.
  • Participates in team meetings, adheres to ethical standards, and utilizes trauma-informed care principles.
  • Engages in professional development activities to stay current with field trends and participates in departmental projects.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field with licensure as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner.
  • Experience in outpatient or integrated health settings, preferably with oncology patients and diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of social work principles, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and telehealth practices.
  • Strong assessment, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Certifications & Physical Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
  • Sedentary work with minimal exertion, up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
