Role: Full-time Case Management Nurse within the Bureau of Health Services, responsible for overseeing medical qualification assessments, annual medicals, and health clinics for FDNY personnel.
Key Duties: Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, determine treatment eligibility, and explain treatments to patients.
Communicate with patients, physicians, and insurance providers to ensure successful health outcomes.
Document medical information accurately in electronic medical records, review test results, and coordinate external treatment providers.
Perform telehealth screenings, administer injections, and venipuncture as needed, following best practices and departmental policies.
Qualifications: Valid New York State RN license, with either a baccalaureate degree and three years of clinical experience or an associate degree with five years of experience. Additional experience may be required for higher assignment levels.
Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, familiarity with electronic medical records, and the ability to coordinate care effectively.
