Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify appointment data, ensuring completeness and accuracy of forms, insurance eligibility, and patient status.
- Greet patients promptly and answer incoming calls professionally.
- Review and update patient information, collect copayments, and reconcile daily payments.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient throughput and processing.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and tests as needed, and distribute necessary handouts.
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, organize workspace, and restock supplies.
- Travel to other office locations as required to provide coverage.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required; higher education preferred.
- Knowledge of medical insurances is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with EMR and practice management systems.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations.
