Role Overview: A travel Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in various healthcare settings, they develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy techniques. The role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical conditions through tests, examinations, and history to identify limitations and treatment needs
• Develop and implement tailored rehabilitation programs
• Operate therapy equipment safely and effectively
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments, and document outcomes accurately
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, body mechanics, and injury prevention
• Maintain a safe environment following infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in quality assurance and professional development
• Assist with discharge planning for continued recovery in community or home settings
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Physical Therapy license per state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, and technical skills
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs, move equipment, and perform motor functions
• Effective communication and critical thinking abilities
• Adaptability to irregular schedules and working under pressure
