Seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem work in Gastonia/Lincoln.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing theories and concepts to patient care.
• Document care to meet reimbursement guidelines.
• Coordinate physical care with patients, families, physicians, and the hospice team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and agency personnel.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and quality reviews.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the practicing state.
• Graduated from an approved nursing program.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience, with one year in hospice preferred.
• Knowledge of home health and hospice care organization and nurse roles.
• Understanding of nursing practice act, agency policies, and reimbursement guidelines.
• 12 hours of annual continuing education.
• CPR certification.
• Willingness to travel and participate in weekend, evening, and holiday call duties.
