Role Overview: The Staff Nurse provides professional, technical, and patient-centered nursing care within a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver age-appropriate care in accordance with unit standards. They communicate clearly, build relationships, and promote a safe, therapeutic environment while ensuring accurate documentation and timely medication administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Render direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Supervise and collaborate with team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain safety, accuracy, and timeliness in medication and IV administration.
• Support educational processes for patients and families.
• Adhere to hospital policies promoting teamwork and professional standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas nursing license and Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum of 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program.
• Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and nursing standards.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: The role involves standing, moving, bending, and reaching, with exposure to blood and body fluids, skin, and allergic irritants. Visual acuity and the ability to handle hazardous materials safely are essential.
