Role Overview: The registered nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to adult patients with hematologic disorders and cancers, including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. The role involves administering advanced therapies such as cellular therapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, and managing central lines, often in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate nursing care, including patient assessment, education, and discharge planning.
  • Administer complex treatments like chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and CAR-T therapy.
  • Support research initiatives within the cancer center.
  • Utilize advanced nursing skills and technology, including Caregility and ceiling lifts.
  • Provide holistic, patient-centered care fostering emotional support and family education.
  • Support professional practice through leadership, mentoring, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least one year of RN experience.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to unpredictable situations.
  • Current RN license and BLS certification required; additional state licensure or certifications may be necessary.

Additional Info: This role offers opportunities for advanced practice training, is eligible for TN sponsorship, and requires documentation of program completion for recent graduates. The position is part-time with shifts starting between 7am and 11am, including 12-hour shifts and weekend rotations.
