Role Overview: The Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) serves under supervision to authorize Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plans (IATP), review clinical documents, provide guidance, and ensure compliance with standards. They conduct behavioral health assessments, develop treatment plans, coordinate care, and deliver crisis evaluation and intervention. Recognized as a licensed practitioner under Medicaid regulations, they support individuals and groups with behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the LPHA for IATP, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices
  • Provide clinical feedback to support diagnosis and medical necessity
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, develop treatment plans, and document activities
  • Request medical consultations when needed and perform risk assessments and safety planning
  • Deliver behavioral health therapy to individuals, families, and groups
  • Coordinate with crisis teams, community agencies, and healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with policies and regulatory standards
  • Supervise clinicians or students as assigned and participate in training activities

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s Degree with licensure (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT)
  • At least two years of experience in behavioral health
  • Strong critical thinking, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to interpret regulations, recognize suicidal behavior, and respond appropriately
