Role Overview

The registered nurse will assess, interpret, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on age and diagnosis. They will manage a caseload, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and communicate effectively in line with agency policies. The role involves organizing work efficiently, maintaining schedules, and demonstrating commitment to the agency's values and mission.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Current RN licensure in the practice state with CPR certification.
  • Minimum of one year RN experience plus at least two years of clinical experience; home health experience preferred.
  • Additional experience as LPN, CNA, EMT, or military medic is advantageous.
  • Strong technical skills, including hand-eye coordination, equipment manipulation, and computer literacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions with patients, families, and staff.
  • Physical ability to lift, transfer, and maneuver patients and objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
  • Competent in assessing patient conditions, developing care plans, and educating patients.
  • Must possess sensory acuity for visual and auditory assessments.
  • Awareness of hazards such as exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and safety risks during home visits.
  • Valid driver’s license and operational vehicle required.
