Role Overview: Provides routine and advanced respiratory care, manages ventilators, performs advanced airway procedures, and assists with bronchoscopy and high-risk deliveries.
Responsibilities: Implements ventilator protocols, monitors patient responses, performs airway care such as intubations and tracheotomy changes, and delivers therapies like Nitric Oxide and surfactant. Supports physicians during procedures and may participate in transport and backup roles.
Qualifications: Requires an Associate Degree or equivalent in Respiratory Care, valid New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License, NBRC credential, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Critical care experience preferred.
Skills & Attributes: Strong knowledge of respiratory therapies, ventilator management, airway procedures, and ability to work in critical care environments. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential.
