Role: Part-Time Paramedic

Responsibilities

• Assess emergency situations and determine appropriate medical response based on protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care using equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IVs.
• Communicate compassionately with patients and their families, offering reassurance and information.
• Act as team leader during scenes, managing the scene and unit as needed.
• Collaborate professionally with healthcare and public safety personnel.
• Utilize triage skills for efficient call handling and patient prioritization.
• Deliver patient care aligned with clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Assist with patient mobility and transport as required.
• Coordinate with receiving facilities for medical direction and critical information transfer.
• Drive and support ambulance response, including navigation to minimize response times.
• Maintain community relations through participation in outreach programs and regular communication with healthcare facilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED; advanced education preferred.
• Current Montana Paramedic Certification or pending application.
• National Registry certification.
• Valid State Driver’s License and a driving record compliant with safety policies.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS certifications.
• Ability to pass drug, background, and physical agility screenings.
