Role Overview: This position provides individual mental health therapy for children and families referred to the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) due to potential child maltreatment.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct trauma-specific assessments, develop and monitor personalized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapy.

Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, provide case review and management, and serve as a clinical resource on trauma-informed care.

Facilitate therapeutic groups, maintain documentation, and support grant reporting.

Collaborate with families, community partners, and school staff, advocate for clients during legal proceedings, and connect families to community resources.

Develop policies, foster community relationships, and contribute to child abuse prevention initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills: Must hold a Master’s in Social Work or Counseling with current LMSW or LGPC licensure.

Minimum of 1 year experience in human services or behavioral health.

Knowledge of trauma, child maltreatment, neurobiology, and evidence-based treatment modalities.

Strong communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work with children engaging in problematic behaviors and provide testimony if required.

Preference for bilingual skills, relevant certifications, and experience with trauma-focused therapies.

Physical & Working Conditions: Mostly indoor work, with occasional outdoor and noisy environments.

Require sitting, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, and occasional reach or stooping.

May support emergency operations as needed.
