Role: Surgical Technician II Certified

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Understand surgical procedures and ensure availability of equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
• Assist with operating room setup, turnover, and terminal cleaning post-surgery.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Follow policies on instrument counts, universal protocols, and medication labeling.
• Train and guide students and less experienced staff on instrument handling.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED; Surgical Technologist program graduate, military trained, or AD in Surgical Technology preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Advanced competencies in at least 3 surgical specialties.
