Role: The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care, applying principles from various sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with a focus on family-centered approaches.

Responsibilities: Includes delivering patient-centered care, demonstrating clinical knowledge, performing leadership and mentorship, ensuring safety and quality improvement, supporting provider collaboration, utilizing informatics and technology, and contributing to staff education and development. Staff may be temporarily assigned across different units based on patient needs.

Qualifications & Skills: Requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or within 5 years of hire), RN licensure in Ohio, BLS certification, and at least one year of healthcare experience (preferred). Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records like EPIC. Leadership abilities, teamwork, and the capacity to work under pressure are vital.
