Position Overview: The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients based on physician referrals, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, assess, and modify treatment plans focused on activities of daily living.
  • Oversee and evaluate care provided by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and utilize therapy software effectively.
  • Establish realistic, measurable, and functional goals for patients.
  • Communicate and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, providing excellent customer service.
  • Assist in patient evacuation and support safety protocols.
  • Ensure professional relationships, confidentiality, and adherence to organizational policies and codes of conduct.
  • Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Certified by NBCOT; renewal optional.
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).
  • Active licensure in the applicable state; maintain licensure in good standing.
  • Preferred one year of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • CPR certification required; must remain current.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Strong communication, reasoning, and judgment skills.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and demonstrate good body mechanics.

  • Follow individualized treatment plans and adjust goals as needed.
  • Chart accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Utilize therapy tools and software effectively.
  • Maintain professional and respectful relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate dependability, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
  • Perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, lifting, and moving intermittently during work.
