Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting in employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role involves participating in recruiting, staging merchandise, conducting inventories, and ensuring store safety, cleanliness, and compliance with policies. The candidate operates the store in the manager's absence, reviews financial and operational data, and maintains accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training staff.
• Support merchandising, stocking, and presentation of products.
• Manage inventory, damages, markdowns, and ordering practices.
• Deliver excellent customer service and act as a role model for company policies.
• Participate in store opening/closing, secure funds, and support cash handling procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
• Analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to identify business trends and opportunities.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret documents, perform math calculations, and learn cash register functions.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, cash handling, and safety policies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: Bilingual Spanish speakers; high school diploma or equivalent; retail experience.
  
  

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and handling merchandise.
• Ability to lift up to 40-55 lbs., occasional climbing, and driving.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise; occasional exposure to outside weather.
