Role Overview

This position provides technical support under the supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to a specific patient group, aiming to achieve quality outcomes. It involves delivering basic respiratory procedures, assisting in patient assessments, and contributing to care plans. The role includes patient care, equipment management, and participation in healthcare improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform authorized procedures outside critical care areas, such as monitoring low-flow oxygen, aerosol therapy, airway clearance, and ECGs.
• Assist in cardiorespiratory emergencies once BLS certified.
• Support patient assessment, care plan development, implementation, and evaluation under RCP guidance.
• Contribute to healthcare delivery improvements and ongoing education.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Enrollment in a second-year Respiratory Care Program or senior-year candidate within one year of graduation.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Certification in BLS within 14 days of hire preferred.
