Position Overview

Seeking a Therapeutic Certified Recreational Therapist to provide therapeutic recreation programs in a community-based setting. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized rehabilitation plans, facilitating individual and group therapy, and working collaboratively with staff, participants, families, and funders. The role involves maintaining compliance with regulations, managing recreational equipment, advocating for recreational therapy, and pursuing continuing education to ensure best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy
• Minimum of two years' experience in rehabilitation or neurological/developmental work
• CTRS certification
• Knowledge of rehabilitative techniques for neurological impairments
• Strong communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interpret multidisciplinary evaluations and handle stress professionally
