A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) collaborates with a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents or patients recover from injuries or illnesses by improving mobility and managing pain. Key responsibilities include assisting with ambulation, implementing therapy plans involving exercises and manual techniques, and instructing patients on therapeutic regimens.

PTAs assess patient health through interviews and examinations, review evaluation results, and document care services accurately. They perform therapeutic procedures, encourage patient participation, and support the use of assistive devices.

Additional duties include counseling patients on wellness, ensuring continuity of care, maintaining a safe environment, and adhering to protocols.

Qualified candidates must be graduates of an accredited PTA program, possess current state licensure, and hold valid CPR certification. Experience in long-term care is preferred.
