Role Overview: This position is for a clinically competent, certified advanced practitioner specializing in comprehensive care for oncology and hematology patients. The role involves performing patient assessments, managing complex cases, and providing follow-up, diagnosis, side effect management, survivorship care, and patient education in collaboration with medical oncologists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for new and existing patients.
  • Manage treatment plans, side effects, and infusion reactions.
  • Support infusion center operations, including triage and lab result review.
  • Develop survivorship and palliative care plans, and coordinate patient care with other providers.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment, and side effects.
  • Provide inpatient acute care, assist with admissions/discharges, and administer intrathecal chemotherapy.
  • Offer after-hours call coverage, including triage and urgent care decisions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Preferred experience in oncology nursing or as a provider.
  • Licensure as an advanced practice clinician (PA or NP) in the relevant state or ability to obtain.
  • DEA license or eligibility to acquire one.
  • Current BLS certification per American Heart Association standards.
