Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in an acute care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Collaborates with an interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers to involvement. Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to standards of nursing care.
Qualifications & Skills
RN license required; Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s preferred. No prior experience necessary; < 2 years experience preferred for higher roles.Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills.
