The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities include: following treatment plans, documenting accurately, utilizing therapy software, and delivering excellent patient service.
Qualifications: NBCOT certification (renewal optional), graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program, active state licensure, CPR certification, and preferred one year of experience—new grads are welcome.
Skills and requirements: proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication, good body mechanics, decision-making abilities, knowledge of relevant laws and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and teamwork.
Additional duties: participating in community health activities, assisting with patient evacuation, adhering to safety and compliance standards, and demonstrating dependability.
