About The Role

We're looking for an exceptional Software Engineer to join our engineering team. We're looking for someone who is an all-rounder, but has particularly exceptional backend engineering skills. Our ideal candidate has built AI agents and leveraged clever engineering techniques to improve latency & reliability for complex workflows.

This role will be in person working with the 2 founders 6 days per week, so safe to say you will get close! If you are a go-getter and have the intensity it takes to win, this role could be for you. If this does not align with your current goals it may not be the best fit and we would recommend you do not apply.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build state-of-the-art AI agents across several modalities. You will be horizontal across our engineering team, experimenting and implementing novel AI/ML techniques to improve performance and reliability of various AI agents.

You'll get to wear many hats. Here is some of the fun stuff you will do:

• Develop AI agents with industry-leading performance for high stakes use cases in healthcare.
• Architect our data annotation, fine tuning, and RLHF workflows.
• Push the bleeding-edge in what is technically feasible!
• Act like a owner — propose ideas and call your own shots!
• Impact hundreds of thousands (hopefully millions) of patient lives!

Requirements

• Graduated with a bachelors in computer science or related degree.
• Very strong backend experience, preferably in 0-1 or 1-10 environments.
• Worked at an early stage startup (Seed - Series C) before.
• Experience building AI agents before with a high degree for reliability (we will ask you to impress us with the clever backend engineering techniques you've used).
• Must be ready to work in person in Manhattan, New York 5 days per week in person but 6 days per week total.
